Tubing and outdoor activities in Texas is must-do every summer and if you haven't been to these local spot, it isn't too late! With summer approaching, temperatures climb and quite often shit past the 100 degree marker! Thankfully Texas has blessed us with some of the finest and best spots to cool off and enjoy a sunny day. 

For as long as I could remember, my family and I have been going to different state parks and rivers across Texas making memories and spending quality time with each other. It was a fun and easy way to spend time with family and get away from everyday routine, and more importantly it was cheap! Whether you're spending a weekend at Garner State Park or just floating the Comal river, Texas provides some of the best spots that include fishing, swimming, hiking, tubing which my personal favorite, and  picnics! Here are some of the locations you need to check out if you haven't already!


1.  Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas

  • 2hr - 3 hr float

  • Slow flow, one water chute 

  • Areas to stop for BBQ or picnic

  • 4-8 Different locations to park and rent tubes from $10-$25

  • Located 1 hour outside San Antonio, straight drive on i35

  • NO Overnight camping 

  • NO LITTERING 



2. Garner State Parker in Concan, Texas 

  • Camping in Cabins or Tents (Overnight OK)

  • Day-Trips including campsite, 4 day max

  • Hiking

  • Swimming

  • Paddle boarding

  • BBQ / Picnic areas

  • Ice Cream Shop on campsite

  • NO LITTERING


3. Enchanted Rock in Fredricksburg, Texas

  • 525 foot hike on a granite mountaintop
